Winner of MK Style competition, Christine Cooper, 46, from Shenley Lodge, celebrated her new look with friends and family at John Lewis, Milton Keynes on Wednesday 27th January 2010.

Christine beat many other entrants to win the competition last Summer and over the last few months, her image has been transformed with expert help.

As well as receiving extensive dental treatment from The Appledore Dental and Beauty Clinic in Milton Keynes worth £20,000, Christine took part in personal training sessions with Simon A Williams from FitMK, which raised her energy levels and helped her feel fantastic.

Christine’s Mum nominated her daughter for the makeover competition, as after a tough few years, she thought her daughter deserved a treat. Christine’s parents have both fought Cancer, she was made redundant which led to a bout of depression so her self confidence was in desperate need of a boost. Also, working from home made it all too easy for Christine to neglect her appearance as she explains:

‘I was once the IT director of a law firm but after losing my job, I stopped wearing make up and dressing up as I felt I didn’t have to impress anyone anymore.’

Now with her sassy new look, Christine’s attitude has been turned around and with her confidence sky high, she is looking forward to starting the hunt for a new job and to beginning an exciting phase of her life.

Christine’s smile is set to grow even further as she continues her dental treatment courtesy of Dr. Teresa Day, Clinical Director and founder of The Appledore Clinic:

‘Christine has needed quite extensive work on her teeth’, explains Dr. Day, ‘She has had implants fitted and at the Big Reveal her Invisalign treatment had just started so in a few months time, her teeth will look even better!’

Once her dental treatment is completed, Christine can enjoy having her great new image captured on camera by photographer Laura Candler and as she is keen to continue her boot camp sessions with Simon, her new look Is here to stay.

Before her reveal at John Lewis, Christine visited personal stylist, Teresa Martin, and together they chose an eye-catching red and black outfit for Christine to wear, which impressed all her friends! Steve Hensman from Hensman salon, cut Christine’s hair into a flattering shoulder length bob and her gorgeous chestnut brown hair colour was complemented by a natural make up look designed by Rebecca at Bobbi Brown.
